The Picture Superiority Effect

Here’s a sentence that I think is really well written, because I wrote it:

“The Hindenburg crash was dramatic. Some eyewitnesses say that it was the worst disaster they had ever seen.”

Nobody is going to remember that. Do you know why? Because they won’t.

They will remember this though: (shows black & white image of Hindenburg crash)

Most people are people of pictures. And evidence that’s presented in your court in a picture form will be remembered better than evidence presented in a verbal form.
